Questions about navigation

Question: Where can I find ships that I own or are assigned to me?
Answer:

By clicking on 'Ships' (under Inventory) you can see all ships you own. By clicking the 'Manage Assigned Ships' and 'Manage Piloted Ships' buttons, you can view ships that have been assigned to you as commander or as pilot.

Question: How do I ascend from a planet to go into hyper?
Answer:

You should take off to reach the atmosphere of the planet by clicking on 'Ascend' (this takes one hour). After reaching the atmosphere you will be able to pick "Orbit" (takes one hour) and when you've reached the orbit of the planet you can go to hyperspeed again and fly to the galaxy sector of your chosen destination.

Question: How do I travel at hyper speed?
Answer:

Click in the "Control" section on the left side of the screen on the Combine website, on "Position". Use the arrows to walk to the cockpit and then click "Enter cockpit" which is also in the "Control" section. Then you click "travel" and in the window below you should click on "hyper". After clicking on "hyper" you will see the galaxy map and you can click on the sector you want to go to. A map of the sector will appear and now you should click on the system you want to travel to. After that you will see the coordinates in the right place and the estimated time of arrival (ETA). Finally click on "Go" and you will start traveling at hyper speed.
It's also possible to put in the coordinates yourself, but that's more dangerous, because if you put in the wrong coordinates, you might accidently fly into a sun. So it's always the best thing to click on the galaxy map to choose the coordinates of your desired destination.

Question: How do I land my ship?
Answer:

When you reach your destination in the planetary system, you should first choose to travel (sublight) to the planet (choose the exact coordinates). It might take a couple of hours to travel to the planet. When you have reached the planet's orbit, click on 'Travel' again, type the coordinates where you want your ship to enter the atmosphere and then click 'Reentry' (this takes one hour). When you have entered the atmosphere you will be able to land by clicking on 'Descend'. Before you descend your ship, you will be able to choose the exact position of the landing by typing the desired coordinates. Descending will also take one hour.
When you are ON the planet you can always choose to fly across the planet. NOTE: If you're picking up a person, don't let a person walk over to your ship, cause it might take him an entire day to cross the distance, while you can cross the distance with your ship within a couple of minutes.

Question: How do I board a Ship?
Answer:

To board a ship, you have to be either assigned a ship, or be the pilot of one, or be on the crewlist set by the assignee or pilot of that ship. Then go to 'Position' (under Control), and move to the entrance of the ship. Then you must click on 'Enter' and then you will be able to board any ships within range. You will see a ship or ships in the listing and you will be able to click on 'Board' to board the ship.

--------------

Question: How do I open the doors of my ship so a person can come aboard?
Answer:

You do not have to open any doors of your ship, but you need to put the handle of the person who wants to enter your ship on the crewlist. You will see the "Crewlist" button on the very left down side of your cockpit. It must be the Combine handle of the person you are going to transport. Once he has entered your ship, you will see his avatar in the cockpit next to your avatar. WARNING: don't let someone enter your ship if you don't know the guy. You might get yourselves killed. However Mandalorians should always trust other Mandalorians, so if you're transporting a Mandalorian there should be no problem at all.

--------------

Question: How do I add or remove people from the crewlist of my ship?
Answer:

Click 'Enter Cockpit' (under Control), then click 'Crewlist'. Here you can add and/or remove any player from the crewlist of your ship.

--------------

Question: How do I scan for other ships?
Answer:

Click 'Enter Cockpit' under the Control section and then 'Scanner'.
All ships within scanning range will be displayed below, along with a key to identify whether they are friendly or not. Some ships can be scanned individually, and some ships cannot be scanned. This is because they have EMC on board (Electronic Counter Measures)

--------------

Question: How do I fire at other ships?
Answer:

Click 'Enter Cockpit' (under Control), then click 'Weapons'. Here you can choose a type of weapon installed on your ship, then select what to fire at, and with how many of the weapons. NOTE: Currently, combat is not implemented, so firing weapons will not do anything.

Question: How do I NPC ships?
Answer:

If you're in a fighter or certain freighters you can NPC ships. This means you control other ships without another character flying them.
For example:
I'm in a Y-Wing(fighter) and there is an other Y-wing at the same coordinats as myself. That other Y-wing is also assigned or owned by me. Then I can set the unmanned Y-Wing NPC controlled in my inventory under: 'Piloted Ships'

When I did that the Y-wing will do exactly what you do, jump into hyper, into sublight, fire weapons(when combat is out). at the same time. You can NPC up to twelve ships including yours, so 11 NPC-ed ships.

You can only NPC fighters and some freighters of the same type. So you can't NPC a Pinook when you are flying a Y-Wing.
The ships that can be NPC-ed are: Fighters-Class, Lambda Shuttle, Sentinel Shuttle, Escort Shuttle and Drop Ship Transport.
